Welcome to Ladysmith Intermediate
| Ladysmith Intermediate (LIS) is part of Nanaimo-Ladysmith School Public Schools. Ladysmith Intermediate School is located in the heart of Ladysmith, BC, which over looks the stunning Ladysmith Harbour on the traditional and unceded territory of the Stz’uminus people. Ladysmith, originally Oyster Harbour, is a town located on the 49th Parallel on the east coast of Vancouver Island, British Columbia Canada. The local economy is based on forestry, tourism, and agriculture. A green hill location adjacent to a sheltered harbour forms the natural geography of the community.
Ladysmith Intermediate School is a focus school, that there is a specific school goal and supports to improve literacy rates. LIS offers a safe, caring, and rewarding educational experience for 348 students in grades 4-7. Our mission statement is “Working together with our school community, our mission at Ladysmith Intermediate Elementary is to ensure a safe, supportive and respectful environment which promotes the development of individual potential and enthusiasm for life-long learning.” |
